When Hammerheart Records received the latest material by newcomer band Dark Driven we could not resist. Among tons of songs and bands it simply stuck out. The material was brilliant in its quality, what songs (killer arrangements), what excellent playing and recording. Dark Driven is from Sweden and consists of scene veterans Filip Leo (previously active in Satanic Slaughter and Corporation 187) and Joakim Rimhagen.

Music-wise this is the purest Dark Gothic Metal we have heard in years, the melancholic melodies of Katatonia, the Gothic vibe of Fields of the Nephilim and  the power of bands as Moonspell, Unto Others and Sentenced.

The yet untitled debut album will be mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö and will be ready for a release in the first half of 2025.
