Biography
Pandemia was founded in July 1995 by three former members of the death metal band Suffering. The original lineup consisted of Alex on guitar, Jarda on bass, Pavel on drums, and Matthew on vocals.
Pandemia has collaborated with some legendary names in metal production, including: Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir and The Exploited), Waldemar Soychta (Grip Inc., Sodom and Moonspell) and Andy Classen (Krisiun, Destruction and Holy Moses). These collaborations have helped shape Pandemia’s sound and elevate their production quality over the years.
Pandemia has been very active on the live circuit, playing over 600 shows in more than 30 countries across Europe, South, Central, and North America. They have supported major acts such as Death, Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Vader, Kreator, Six Feet Under, and Incantation
In 2022, Pandemia returned with a new lineup and began recording new music under the mixing expertise of Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Memoriam…). Their latest singles, “Sleep Paralysis” and “The Wretched Dance,” were released in 2023, showcasing their signature blend of raw power and poetic lyrics.
Pandemia continues to be a vital force in the death metal scene, maintaining their commitment to the old-school sound while evolving their style. They are currently working on releasing new full-length and planning to celebrate their 30th anniversary with special performances featuring songs from their entire discography.
